Direct Leads offers a variety of Pay Per Performance options. CPC, CPL and CPS. They also offer some innovative tools such as co-branded coupons, co-branded gift certificates and a co-branded freebie site.

As a relative newcomer to the field of Pay Per Performance advertising, they don't seem to have a lot of "baggage". That shows in the way they deal with publishers, and from personal experience their customer service is excellent. 

They are a little more picky about the kind of sites that they accept. Which is a good thing. On the downside, there seems to be a fair amount of turn over of advertisers and the tracking is a little inconsistent.

The problem is not that leads are not tracked, but that they use multiple sources to track performance. This can mean that there is a lag in finding out which campaigns are working and which are not. I don't doubt that this will eventually be resolved.

The solution to advertiser turnover is to use their banner rotation program and stuff it with multiple advertisers. That way if one expires, you are not left with a gap in coverage. The solution to reporting lag is to focus on offerings that have "real time" reporting.

Overall, we think they're marvelous. Yes, there are occasional glitches, but that's because they are constantly innovating. Yes, it would be nice if there was a bit more automation...but then you wouldn't have the same level of customer service.
